WOOD GREEN FUTURES...
WOOD GREEN FUTURES…TRANSFORMING LOCAL COMMUNITIES ACLC COMMUNITY HUB HOSTED BY AFRICAN CARIBBEAN CULTURAL CENTRE
Wood Green Futures programme 2019-2022 brings individuals, communities and organisations together to share ideas and encourage community involvement. This is being achieved through a series of inter-related roundtables, online forums, panels, workshops, Windrush information sessions and children’s holiday club hosted by the African Caribbean Cultural Centre, 9 Clarendon Rd, Haringey during 2019.
Wood Green Futures and cultural partners “4U2” are navigating a way forward through a next steps approach to placemaking and community development for Windrush Generations by creating inclusive, peaceful, caring and enterprising neighbourhoods for youth development, community wellbeing and Stay at Home Social Action.
The private sector has a pivotal role to play in Community Economic Development as an integral part of Regeneration. There is a link between business competitiveness, social inclusion and facilitating cross-sectoral partnerships for all stakeholders.
The private sector with their voluntary sector partners can mobilise resources and funding to ensure community assets exist to support youth organisations and their sustainability, by adding value to statutory commitments that ensure that young people are able to access learning, skills and employment opportunities in their local communities and neighbourhoods.
The cultural and social value impact from the intervention of Wood Green Futures 20219-2022 provides strategic, operational and practical benefits to all stakeholders.
